Hi,

I've just installed linux (dual booting along with Windows 7 as you guys recommended),and now I want to start doing stuff..

First,I want to change the whole theme to something like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07gOipfh3qM&feature=related

I see in the description names of a wallpaper and some customizations, but I don't know where to get that stuff and how to instal them.

It would also be nice if someone can recommend me a nice combo which would look all good together like the one in the video. nice and clean!

Love Ubuntu. :)

Hi wadi,

Welcome to the forums, and to the goodness that is Ubuntu :)

If it's just an image on your desktop you want, you can right-click on your desktop and change the image there. Also, if you find an image on the web you want to use, you can right-click on it, and there will be an option to set as desktop background. As far as themes and things like that, there are others who would be much better at assisting you with those :)

The dock / application launcher appears to be Awn and is in the software center. It would be best used in Gnome Classic and not Unity . The system monitor is Conky and the water effect is a Compiz effect . The clear window borders are added with Emerald (see the link).http://www.webupd8.org/2012/01/install-emerald-in-ubuntu-1110-oneiric.html
