Ok, I tried to not ask this question, because I'm almost sure I will look really dumb.

I have an ubuntu 11.10 cd just burned from the Ubuntu website.
Where is the "try Ubuntu" option. I only see install options.

I've used live discs in the past 8.xx and 9.xx I swear they were there on those disks.

Should be there when you boot Ubuntu. It should look like this:

Make sure you download the Desktop CD and not the Alternate CD.

thanks

@UnknownFearNG I definitively don't have that screen.

I'm guessing Its the alt issue, because the gui is not *** pretty as the pic above either.

Is there no test feature for alt?

edit: The file name is "ubuntu-11.10-desktop-i386.iso"

edit: The file name is "ubuntu-11.10-desktop-i386.iso" That's the correct .iso. Could be a corrupt download. Did you do a checksum on the MD5 hash after it downloaded? Have you tried downloading via BitTorrent?

Looks right to me?
I don't mean to be rude, because I could be quite crazy, have any of you used this specific disk and seen it work?

Can you tell us exactly what it says on the options screen you are seeing?

Also what colour is the screen where you are seeing them.
