Hi -

I downloaded a .run file (the Qt online installer), and now need to do something with it.

When I double-click on it, I get a dialog box saying there's no application installed for executable files.

I tried doing a sudo sh filename.run from a terminal window, but that gave me a bunch of static and didn't accomplish anything good.

How do the smart people handle files like this?

Thanks.

Thank you...I followed the instructions, and instead of a terminal window, I got another file called "lockmyApp1234865.lock." Any idea what this is?

EDIT: disregard this (partially)...I didn't get a terminal window, but the desired installer app did begin. It was just hiding behind other windows.
