Basically I have no clue what your asking. You remove a router by physically unplugging it.

Is that speedtouch just a modem, or is it a modem/router combo. do you have an actual model id?

What is it your trying to do, are you getting some sort of error? Are you trying to setup internet? What is going on?

At the risk of being redundant, I have to ask -- do what, exactly?

If you're "behind a router", that means that you are going THROUGH the router to access the Internet.

If you want to BYPASS that router, you will need DIRECT access to the Internet through an ISP. For that, you'll need one of the following:
1) Cable modem -- with direct connection to your ISP and a network port for a cable to connect directly to your PC
2) Dial-up modem, with telephone access to your ISP and some way to connect it to your PC
3) DSL -- with software that will connect to your ISP, running on your PC.

Without telling us what you HAVE, we can't really provide detailed advice.
