hi,
i am using my laptop with dual Os windows 7 and ubuntu 11.10. But my problem is when i am using using ubuntu(always using that because because of all application are installed in their) i can,t get battery power,but when i am using in windows it will get about 3 or 4 hours but in ubuntu may be 1 or 1.25. What steps i want to do to maximize my charging capacity in ubuntu ? My laptop in from lenova and amd radion graphics card.but i can't find the correct driver for that ,so there have some problems also have in vmware workstation?pls help

Recent Ubuntu versions suffer from a kernel bug that can cause the CPU to run at nearly full power all of the time. This causes overheating and will drain your battery a lost faster than will Win7.

As to video drivers, if you're seeing a desktop, the correct video drivers are already installed.

As to VMWare, most folks here use Virtualbox, so you'll have problems getting answers ... but you need to start a new thread just for your VMWare problem.
