Hi, yesterday I installed ubuntu 11.10 (AMD 64). Everything was just perfect. But problem started when i tried to install AMD/ATI graphic driver. Ubuntu has somethng like driver instaler (Additional driver or something, I'm not sure how to say it in English). That driver installer successfully had installed my driver but he said that something went wrong. Everything works good except one thing, with AMD drivers my laptop doesn't remember brightness settings after reboot, log off or user switch. I starts with maximum brightness, but after log on i can change it. But it happens all the time.

I have installed Polish language pack and all updates. It is one day system and I haven't done anything except that.

My laptop model: Asus K50AF-SX010
Graphic card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145

Is there anything that i can do to fix it. I'm very new with ubuntu and I want to use it. And i want to use AMD driver because with them battery can work 2 hours longer.
