View Full Version : [ubuntu] Problem with Wifi and GPU

In Ubuntu 11.10, video works well, but wifi dont (wlanX interface doesnt exists). In Ubuntu 10.04, with a little effort, wifi works, but video dont (only one low res mode is allowed).
I've tried to upgrade kernel in 10.04 (to 3.0.0-15, with oneiric-backports-modules-headers), and it got 11.10 issues, but solved video problem.

I know thats not a hardware problem, since both works well, natively, under Window$7.](*,)

I've tried LinuxMint 12, with a bootable pendrive, and everything fine! =D

But... I wanted to understand the reasons why over purely Ubuntu (since LinuxMint is a Ubuntu-flavor distro) my laptop doesnt work.
