I'm suggesting a little addon to Ubuntu over at Brainstorm, trying to make the desktop a little less dull. The idea is that instead of having wallpaper, it changes through the year. A way of having the computer greet you with a nice, new look every now and then.

Any comments or ideas in that matter?

Thanks! Some good links. I've already tried to contact the developer of DesktopNova, but no answers. But some of the script-solutions are simple enough for me, and nice.

Part of the idea is to make it more streamlined for regular users. Just pick a theme (a set of photos you like) and install it.
