I liked the Real Player 11 on my Windows XP Pro - among other features it allows me to download a video clip when I am watching it online. I was trying to find its Ubuntu version but is all seems that the Linux version has been discontinued. Any idea where to go get one?

None of the links available on the Internet is providing Real Player for Ubuntu. The helix side is also discontinued Real Player download.

if you are using firefox then the FlashGot add-on will do it for you.

just go to tools> add-ons and search for flashgot

click install

restart firefox

right click on the page when you are watching video and select flashgot and it will capture the video.

Went to Firefox's tools -> add-ons and installed FlashGot; checked My Add-ons in Firefox and it is in the list; rebooted Ubuntu and opened Firefox and played one of the online videos in Firefox; clicked the right button but there is no FlashGot in the list - all is there is about Adobe's flash player.

Do I miss anything?
