Hi! I have a C++ program that I sent to a friend. When they copied it into Visual C++, the menu options to debug and run my program were grayed out. Do you know why this might happen? I would really like to get this fixed because it's a cool program. I know the program isn't a problem because I had just compiled and run it many times using g++. They haven't even been able to debug it yet. Please help. :|

did you send him just the source files?
Did he create a blank vs project then just add your files into this project?

I sent him the file.cpp, and he might have either copied and pasted into Visual C++, or opened it with Visual C++. Would either of these be the problem?

You need to either send him the entire project, or tell him what type of project to make. In Visual C++ you cannot run a single file, you can only run a project.
