I found an article on encryption that was very good using a USB key and a script to get a keyfile off the USB during boot, but I can not long find it. that was going to be my basis for my setup.
Edit: I found the Site but it does not indicate how to setup up encryption on a partition - just assumes you did the encryption at installation

I want to encrypt an LVM partition that is already created.
I want the Partition to be mounted automatically from a keyfile (located where i desire)
I should be able to use a passphrase if the keyfile is not found
I do not want to have to login to the machine to have the partition boot automatically.

nothing overly complicated: this seems to be a feature of googling encryption in ubuntu, every article is SEVERLY different and Very complicated and never exactly what your looking for.

IM NOT ASKING for anyone to explain how to do this, but to point me in the right direction or give me a link to a GOOD article that will explain how encryption works or how to with good explanations.

Thanks you in advanced =)
