Hey,

So the next step for my home server is going to be a web server, family things on it, basically just for people I know, anyways I know that I have a Dynamic IP, so I've heard of two options dnsexit, and no-ip, and I honestly have little to no clue on the networking side of things what I am to do, obviously I need to register a domain name, but in terms of the different domain levels(top, secondary and such), DNS, and all that I'm pretty clueless, so if anyone can point me in the right direction. I know HTML and some PHP, and I can set up a MySQL database, so on the coding of the website I'm fine with. Its just the if I type in www.mydomain.com (http://www.mydomain.com) and my IP is constantly changing what am I supposed to do? and a lot of these advertise mail servers, wherein I want to basically host name@mydomain.com and than reroute it to my gmail, so will I need a 3rd party mail server, or can I set this all up?

TL;DR
1. What is DDNS? How do I set it up?
2. Do I need a 3rd party mail server? How do I set one up myself?

I apologize in advance if this has been posted before, but if someone can point me towards the right direction that would be most appreciated. :)
