I am sure this has been asked a million times bit I am a noobie and haven't been able to find a solution.

I have three PC's at home. Two are running Ubuntu 11.10 and one is a Mac. All have Banshee loaded but my music collection resides on one of the Ubuntu machines.

I "simply" want to be able to jump on the other two machines via the home wireless network and be able to listen to music stored on the third machine.

Doing it between Macs is a breeze but I am having a mental block on this one!

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Edna is super easy to install and basically 'just works':

Since all the machines have Banshee, which is able to connect to DAAP shares, I'd recommend a DAAP server like Tangerine (https://launchpad.net/tangerine) instead of Edna.

This article has pretty good instructions: http://www.sehofstede.nl/banshee-1-9-future-2-0-with-daap-music-sharing
