I am using system commander as a boot manager & I have had no trouble prior.

Why can't I choose a boot partition while installing dapper 64. No probs breezy. no probs anything but dapper?

Why is it so?

Yeah, this puzzles me as well. It keeps installing grub onto /dev/hda here, and that's definently not my primary boot drive, so it seems to just be picking the first drive it gets to.
Any way to convince it otherwise?

Pretty damned sexy installer, btw.

Yeah? It's only sexy if it works.
Looks like a return to breezy for a while longer.

If you get the "alternate" install CD, that does give you options for installing grub. But then it is just a text mode installer, nothing sexy there... :)

BTW, the fact that the LiveCD does not do this has been reported as a bug already. They just couldn't fix it in time for the release...

It's not really a problem. Edit grub. Just that swambo likes her games on the other one so it has to boot by default.
Swambo's Routine:
Wake, stumble to comp, turn on computer, stumble to kitchen, make coffee, stumble to computer, drink coffee, play games/surf, whatever.
Anything for a quiet life me
