Old thread...but ill use this since i have the same question.
Im new to linux, and trying to figure this out.
Dont have anyone near by to ask, so ill ask starter questions here.
(probably stuff you ppl did know from birth)

Well ive tried this guide...but my problem is. i dont have rights to paste the SO file into the correct folder.
this is a fresh install of ubuntu 10.04 LTS 64Bit with one password, so i thought i had admin rights,,
(prob where the issue is?? )

Precede whatever command you're using with "sudo". That will grant that command Super User rights. You'll be prompted for a password -- supply the one you use to login.
