Hello everyone. I'm new to Ubuntu/Linux and so far I'm loving it! Only problem is my screen resolution, it's just not right. everything is a bit big and squashed. Only thing i know is my graphics card is a SiS but i don't know which model. My laptop is a Fujitsu Siemens V5535. Any help would be much appreciated.

Perhaps others would benefit if you posted what you did to solve the problem. :D

Went here: https://launchpad.net/~acasagrande/+archive/xf86-video-sismedia

And installed the PPA. Rebooted and went into display settings and was able to select the proper resolution!

Loving Ubuntu now! SO much quicker then Windows. :D
