View Full Version : [ubuntu_studio] EMU Sampler Librarian

I have an EMU sampler ESI-32 that I connect to via SCSI. I have an Adaptec SCSI card installed and currently I move samples around via a SCSI ZIP drive. So I have to connect the computer to the ZIP drive, transfer a sound to the ZIP drive, then disconnect the ZIP from the computer and connect the ZIP to the EMU, then the EMU can read the sample off the ZIP drive.

I am looking for a way to connect the EMU directly to the computer and transfer the samples directly. I take it like in the 80's I need a librarian to handle the communication and transfer directly from the computer to the EMU. Does anyone know of a librarian I can use in Ubuntu Studio that would work?

Also Anyone know of a website where I can download samples for my EMU from?

Rosegarden can handle EMU devices. That might be your solution.
