Remote Shutdown

Would it be possible to add a page to ubuntu center to shutdown or restart the host computer? For example, if I was going away and needed a few files it would be nice to know I could my computer on until they were collected and then turn it off without having to wast more power. Its not exactly vital, but it would be a nice feature if it's not too hard to implement.

It wouldn't be too tricky to add, but I would probably add this as a module instead of built in if I were to add it.
