I am using Ubuntu 11.10.
I was using fglrx drivers for ATI earlier but it was not working efficiently so I downloaded drivers from AMD website and tried to install it.
Installation was successful but after rebooting it not able to start. It is giving following error while booting.

Starting load fallback graphics devices [fail]

and then halts.

I tried to uninstall drivers from recovery mode.
But when go to root in recovery mode and try to install it is showing Read Only file ca not modify.

How can I remove this driver?, I didn't find option to boot in low graphics mode in recovery. How can I boot in low graphics mode?
