I found this post on Ubuntu's wall today, and I don't know what to say.

The new SOPA bill proposed by the US Government is bad for freedom of expression online - we support the rights of content creators, but not the censorship of freedom online - see
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_w4NGp1e50 to find out more and then visit http://americancensorship.org/ to contribute your voice to oppose this bill, whether in the USA or outside the USA. Please share this on your wall on Facebook to spread the message!

It simply means that the OP opposes the bid by the the movie companies, record companies and paid software companies to MONITOR the web and to block sites WORLD WIDE that hold such contact .. however the language is so vague that ANY content could be blocked, leading to web censorship. And the bill also would allow service providers to throttle download speeds even more than they do now and to prevent or severely limit individual upload speed. All under the phony reason of preventing internet piracy. In the US there are petitions being circulated against the bill, but thus far Congress is paying no heed to the public, but running with the lobbyists requests to pass the law. It is STILL in committee where it still can be fought.
