64 Bit Disc?

My brother wants to buy Ubuntu 64 bit disc, could you guys make him one? Would be very happy. Thanks.

You have to burn your own sadly. The store even says you have to download 64-Bit instead: http://shop.canonical.com/product_info.php?products_id=915

The only reason you'd use 64-Bit is to have 64-bit functions, most of which are hacked into 32-Bit via PAE (This includes more than two-core capabilities.) However, I mentioned "hacked into," because that's basically what PAE is, a hack to allow 32-bit to be extended. (Not all motherboards/CPUs support PAE either.)

I don't know where you are but my local bookstore has several magazines in its newstand that have Ubuntu discs in them (both 32 bit & 64 bit).

It would cost more to mail the disk to you than what it would cost you to download the .iso and burn it yourself.

As for 64-bit, if you have a 64-bit capable machine and at least 3GB pf RAM and you don't run into weird issues with proprietary drivers (like some printers), then go for 64-bit. I have been using 64-bit since 8.10.
