Hi,

I have recently installed Ubuntu 11 10 , and the appearance of desktop is completely new.

I have very hard time in finding things like synaptic manager , preferences, administration and other services.

Someone please let me know how to change the appearance of desktop( currently some icons are displayed at the right side of monitor in top -down manner).

i would like to know where is the place i can see all available appearances.

i also want to disable auto lock which is automatically done after every 10 mins the system is idle.

Regards,
