Using Matlab

Hi,
I have a copy of r2010a Matlab for Unix, wich i have been trying to install in my 11.10. After some discusions here for a couple of problems I was facing, I read somewhere that this version of Matlab is not compatible with my system. Is this true? What can I do to use matlab?

Ubuntu is NOT Unix therefor I doubt its going to work...

I suppose you could run Solaris-Unix in a VM then install your Matlab

I will consider it, but i wanted to use matlab without a virtual machine. It has high system requirements, and i dont want to face a lack of performance.Thanks anyway
