What good would it do?

It's identical to 11.10 at the moment.

Did not know that, but now I do. Thought the design changed as soon as they started building the next.

Wow that looks amazing. I like how they moved the Unity sidebar to the top right corner, much better that way. I also like the tabs at the bottom for the programs. I really hope they continue with that design, Unity is taking over. Thanks for the screenshot.

It IS a joke :)
Now tell me you didn't LOL :)

This is my actual screenshot. You'll see there's nothing different from Ubuntu OO so far.

From my experience with 11.10 alpha 1 and onwards, things like background images get changed towards the end of the development period. System Info first had the Gnome logo on it and then when it got the Ubuntu logo it said 11.04 and that did not change to 11.10 until a few weeks before the release date.

My present 12.04 System Info says 11.10 but System Monitor say 12.04 Precise.

These visual things are not the most important at this time. Are they? I will tell you this a couple of nights ago I converted an 11.10 install that I use for testing into 12.04 and it is very stable. 12.10 Alpha 1 is due to be released on 1st December. If you are not already trying it out, then have a go.

Regards.

IMHO, 12.04 is stable right now. I use it as a production machine at work. However, once development really start, we know how it goes from previous experiences: Daily crashes, dependencies problems, instability, missing libs, etc. It's normal during dev phase. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that depends on the same PC for testing and personal/professional use. Things can (and generally do) get ugly.

It is precisely because the pangolin "is" a ocelot wannabe!

The only way I could get her of my PC was to get her one.

She loves her eeePC (now running oneiric). I put RhythmBox and she stays like this (see photo) to hear music.
OBS: This photo is actually from 1 year ago, I think she was still using Natty by then.

Greetings,
Yep! I don't know what it is about wannabe ocelots and computer keyboards. My wife has had her's totaled a couple of times. The critters won't come anywhere near mine for some reason.
