I am extremely new to linux and this morning I followed a post from here. "http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=185557" I was able to install WINE and get WoW running, however it seems to need to be patched to have a few things (targetting/sound/etc) work correctly in the game, as was referenced here "http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?versionId=4031" Is it possible to patch the .deb before/after installation? I would appreciate any help ya'll could give, if you have the time.

Thanks in advance,

Check out https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Wine
for a WoW-compatible wine.

I think your only solution is to (as the wiki suggests) uninstall your current version and use the alternative package.

I shall take a look as soon as i get home and let you know how it goes!

Thanks for pointing this out!
