URGH!
very few things frustrate me about Ubuntu, there is grub (dont even get me started about it), and right now, gaming!

first of all, there are no good RTS games (not true im sure, there are some options, but right now im not happy with that situation), and second, Cedega is a #Q@$%.

i use cedega to play CS with my brother (he uses windows and lives in another state), so i installed steam on Cedega and was able to play it just fine for a while.
then, it stopped leting me login. i had my brother test my account, worked fine for him. after about a week of tweaking around, finally purging my system of all cedega things, then reinstalling it, steam let me login again.
this was 2 months ago. i havent played CS much since then, but yesterday it started all over again.

im currently trying to purge my system of cedega things (Testing along the way until i can identify which file/folder it is that makes my gaming exerience hell)

anyone else experience this?
any help would be aprecated.

I use "wine" to play CS and its much better than cedega. Here is a howto:

thats nice, but ummmm wine had issues of its own.
cedega did work, and it worked fine, and ive fixed the issue before, but i dont remember how.....

wine is fine im sure, ive used it for some things before, but it doesnt work for Steam either, it crashes at 27% and the suggestion to fix that doesnt do anything...
