Hi there, I am using version 11.10 x64 on my dell precision m4600. My problem is that ubuntu does not remember my passwords for wifi networks. I would provide more Information, just don't know what to post. I looked into edit connections / wireless and saw that there were no passwords stored, so I entered them there. But shouldn't the password also be stored, when I get asked ahead of joining the network automatically?

Any help appreciated,

I believed the issues was discussed a month earlier in the previous thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1860529)
If the issue is different it would be a good idea to refer to that thread mentioning if your problem was different.

Hope that helps!

Go to "edit connections", go to the wireless tab and chose your network. Click edit, give your password and on the bottom of the tab tick the box "available to all users".
You will be asked for your password again and as soon as you give it, your connection will switch off and then on again.
Your password has now been stored.
