Is there no way to stretch the columns pictured below?

^Compact view @ 100%. I circled in red at the top there where I would expect to be able to stretch the columns horizontally. Please tell me there is a way to do it ](*,)

If not, is there at least a way to enable the full folder name showing up when I hover my mouse over it? Because it doesn't even do that so I have to click on it to get the full name to show in the bottom bar :(

Note - the other view types suck for such a large amount of files going to 150% displays more of the folders names but then the icons are HUGE.

use list mode instead.

Yes, the list mode would show one item per line (with additional information like file size, etc.).

You may also try to play aound with the zoom. This also changes the number of columns and their width. Hope this helps.

In nautilus preferences, uncheck the the box that says 'All columns have the same width' under compact view mode. The view will then show the full file names.

THANK YOU! Exactly what I was looking for...For others interested, see a picture of how to do it below.

@List view, you can only see 10-15 folders in a single view and that makes my scrollbar too long.

Not having a tooltip to display the full name of a folder when you hover over it is just dumb...anyone know how to add one?
