I have been unable to get my wireless printer (HP Lazerjet Pro P1102W) to print. I do a search for network printer and it find the printer and the correct HP driver, but when I do a print test the printer is idle. Have enabled wireless printing in advanced user groups. Any Ideas how to get my printer to print wireless?

you may want to try the HP Device Manager. It worked fine for me printing to a wireless HP printer.

Thank you. I went to the HP website but apparently Ubuntu 11.10 is not presently supported. Will have to wait for them to update their drivers.

Further to this, I did a search for supported linux printers. Fortunately I found that my printer was supported but I would have to download and install hplip-3.11.10.run. I did the install and now my printer "WORKS". Hopes this helps others with this printer using Ubuntu 11.10. Incidently, I use Lubuntu as is is superlative for music playback using Asla.

Moved to Hardware and Laptops and marked 'solved'.

Original poster can do the latter himself by using the 'thread tools' menu.
