Hi there everyone!
I recently upgraded an old laptop to the newest version of ubuntu
(Well, not really an upgrade, I just erased everything and reinstalled with ubuntu 11.10).
As expected, my wireless card driver Broadcom 4311, wasn't configured. I tried going to additional drivers, and that didn't work. I tried getting it in the package manager, and that didn't work. Any suggestions?

I had the same issue when I updated as well. I tried everything I knew and finally used ndiswrapper. It worked, and worked very well.

If you were to go to the networking and wireless forum and searched for 4311 you might find some threads that might be helpful.
