View Full Version : [xubuntu] Network Proxy

When I take my laptop to work, I have to set a proxy in order to connect to the net. In Linux Mint I can set different proxys by defining one for home (which I dont need, just and example) and one for work and as I change locations I just click a drop down and its all changed on the fly. Ubuntu was a little different but the same basic set up.

In Xubuntu, however, Im not seeing anything like this. My work uses an automatic proxy but I dont need it at home obviously. Is there a way to set this in Xubuntu and change it on the fly? Or somehow set things so when Im at work it uses the proxy but not at home?

I should add that I also have to enter a username and password when I use the work proxy so if there is anyway to automate that as well I would greatly appreciate the info.
