Hello,

I have a nokia 2630, no bluebooth on my pc.

I would like to upload a given textfile from Ubuntu to my nokia 2630 using the cable

Would you know how this impossible thing could be possible?

Should be doable, presuming the Nokia has an SD or microSD card or similar memory card in it. Just connect it via a cable and it should pop up on the desktop as a USB drive and then you can do with it what you will.

does your phone have a micro SD card, if it has then on the phone settings there must an option to mount the card as USB storage mode when connected to USB port on any computer either windows or ubuntu it's the same.
if no micro SD card then look at the phone instructions, I have one phone without an external card and the only way to connect to computer is to turn the phone off then it will auto mount the internal memory.
