Hey I'm using ubuntu 11.04 atm, just having a little difficulty connecting to wireless (it's my parents computer and my dad admitted to pressing "ok" to a few pop-up regarding settings, used to work well until today), it's WPA protected however the system does not give me an option to change to password dropdown.

WEP 40/128-bit Key (Hex or ASCII)
WEP 128-bit Passphrase
LEAP
Dynamic WEP (802.1x)

are all the options given to me.

I did try to go to edit connections and changed the key to WPA and set it to auto-connect however when i re-log does it does not connect to wireless. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried deleting the connection (on Network Connections) and trying to connect as a clean start (looking for available networks, choosing the one, etc)?

Regards.
