i have a microsoft wireless mouse (http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=microsoft+wireless+mobile+mouse+6000&hl=en&biw=1300&bih=649&prmd=ivns&resnum=2&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=2427661609119572435&sa=X&ei=PYJ7ToKTG-Hr0gGjsY3PAg&ved=0CFgQ8wIwAA) and a usb hp keyboard attached to a Belkin kvm switch almost identical to this one (http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=belkin+kvm+switch&hl=en&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&biw=1300&bih=649&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=16739884565207941467&sa=X&ei=vIJ7Trb-Nobs0gHh06i9Ag&ved=0CIYBEOYNMAA) . I also have a regular ps2 keyboard attacehd (always works) to my ubuntu box (one box is windows and one is ubuntu natty).

problems:
1. restart of ubuntu (log out and back in works just fine) the keyboard and mouse attached to the KVM takes 3-5 minutes before they are responsive again after a restart only.
2. when the mouse is finally responsive again the scroll wheel is super sensitive, however this problem is fixed by unplugging the wireless mouse usb receiver and plugging it back in.

things i have already tried:
unplugging and replugging of the kvm switch after restart. No luck
checking ubuntu for updates. non available
checking for Belkin KVM liniux drivers. Non found.
searched google for a solution. No luck, but i did find a few others with siilar problems.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
