WIdnows Vista that were installed on the server computer has gotten a bit slow and Ubuntu were installed. It works nicely, but the computer falls asleep despite it being set to never do so in the power management settings.

Anyone knows how to fix it? Hopefully via a GUI application as I have to guide a somewhat computer illiterate brother to do it.

This may work if you are not using the Unity desktop on 11.04 . The applet requires the Gnome panel to work and allows the power management settings to be disabled . If this applet is just a shortcut to power management it may not work , but may be worth a try . http://www.addictivetips.com/ubuntu-linux-tips/disable-auto-sleep-to-prevent-laptop-from-sleeping-in-ubuntu/
