I have 32-bit XP Professional and Ubuntu partitioned onto the same drive. I installed XP first, then Ubuntu. The internet worked on XP, and now works on Ubuntu, but has since stopped on XP. It's telling me that the cable is unplugged. I have a hard connection but it's a wi-fi router.

The card? is Atheos L2 Fast Ethernet 10/100 Base T Controller

The router is Linksys Wireless-G 2.4 GHZ model number WRT54GL

I'm really going in blind here. I don't know anything about Linux so please take that into account when you explain what I need to do. I have it because I have a hardware issue that I can afford to fix and Ubuntu doesn't crash like XP does.
