I read somewhere that the size is hard coded. At least for 11.04. Is this still true for 11.10.

The icons are huge.

Is there a bug open. Had a look but too many to sift through.

On a 22" monitor they look really huge.

Where's the source lol.

I'll file a bug tomoz. I guess the package is unity and not dash itself.
ubuntu-bug unity I guess.

I sorely miss the right click properties to see the command.

It was bugged already. Please feel free to click "affects me" if you agree.

This is a current 'bug', 2 parts, concerning the dash & changes. Likely to see some of the changes in next upgrade, possibly later today.
(seems like some icons will be getting bigger, though maybe I'm mis-reading

good to see people taking UI changes and given guidelines seriously... now if we only had a "compact" version of the current dash icons :)

I agree, my desktop feels like it should be in a special needs class and I should be wearing bottle end glasses!

I really dont know who this dash is designed for, but they really should get their eyes tested!

The new unity (16) does present some changes to the dash, though as far as icons -
The 8 home shortcuts are the same, can't really see that changing unless to address very small screens where 4 across doesn't fit

The lens' icons did change, got bigger, though the text did get smaller

Alot of the changes where to alt+tab, some interesting, one not working so well here (orange border

now that the lenses API has been released for the public i wonder how long it would take for someone to come up with "compact" lens with the same functionality as normal dash

The lenses API doesn't deal with the appearance of the lens, it just receives the search string, defines its filters & categories and provides data sources. There is one exception : it has the choice between using vertical (icon on top, title on bottom) and horizontal (icon on the left, title & commentary on the right) rendering. Everything else is handled by the Dash.

I think it maybe time to bail on 11.10, I really dont like it and unable to change it has just put the final nail in the coffin! Ill see how I feel on final release, but its not looking good!
