Hi, Guys!
I'm not a tester, or a programmer, so I don't post bugs that I've found on the developers site.
However, I did download the Beta version of 10.10 for a play and noticed that although on install it recognised my HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2060, when I installed the HPLIP GUI from the repos, I have a problem.
The problem is that when you run the GUI, the system immediately goes into full CPU usage and just sits there. The mouse is barely responsive and the only way out of it seems to be by using RSEIUB.
I then uninstalled it and tried using the HP installer script.
I had to manaully install the dependencies, as the script doesn't support 10.10.
It failed to install with an error 2.
Tried the same again, forcing it to install as though it was 10.04.
Exactly the same problem, with an error 2 failure.
I realise that this is a beta, but I hope that this is sorted by the time 10.10 is released, as the HPLIP GUI is the only way that you can monitor ink levels.
Regards,
Roger
