I have an external disk storage of 500 GB and when I try to run it I get a message stating that the external disk on the verge of collapse and that problem is in Bad Sector. I did create and change the file system through the Windows system and through the Ubuntu also by GPrated ... But without the benefit of. I hope the solution how to help without reference to the Windows system

Bad sectors are not fixable, back up all data as suggested and start looking for a new hdd.

A low level manufacturer format can help. But I wouldn't trust that drive again either way. The disk is a good paperweight, that's all.

ps: not sure if you will find such formater for external drives.
