Upgraded to Oneiric Beta1 a few days back. Where did all the settings go? Under system settings there's only a few things left.
But my main concern is where did the power settings go? The one that allows me to change hdd spin down time and display brightness and more.

See attached file. This is what I'v got now, that can't be it, can it?

Regards,
Joel

Yes. At least until 11.10 beta 1 development release becomes 11.10 distribution release. The Ubuntu developers are in the process of making big changes to the way Ubuntu does things. A lot of utilities in 11.10 are at the moment very basic or missing or do not work at all. You will need to do daily manual updates.

You should really go to this section:

Ubuntu has changed from Gnome 2.x to Gnome 3. Some of the control panels have been rewritten for Gnome 3 and some features have been taken out. Looks like this particular one might have been taken out.

If u install gnome shell and the gnome tweak you can configure what closing the lid does and if uninstall gnome shell and tweak the settings remain, that's what I did.
