Team Fortress 2 flickering and flashing

Hi there,
I installed the latest wine and have latest ATi drivers installed for my 5850 card.
When I enter a server in TF2 I get this flashing and some of the textures are white (missing).
I followed the winehq appdb http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=9901
but still nothing.

Otherwise game plays great tbh no problems there except for the flashing/flickering of the screen.

Any ideas folks?

Sounds kind of silly but I think I know what you mean. I'm running the latest released catalyst drivers as well, and the flickering is absurd. The catch is it appears the the frames per second are actually really good 80 - max.

Don't mean to wake the dead but the problem is still very prevalent and I'm using the latest wine 1.5.2 (previous versions were similar, I'm thinking there's a workaround for a lot of people running the catalyst drivers).

My graphics card is a HD 6870 radeon card.
