Hello. I have notebook Asus K70IO with Ubuntu 11.04.
Sometimes, video bug is appears - whole screen fills with different color lines, and it moves. To restore normal screen, you need to close/open LID, or move on virtual terminal and back to X server.
I've made video with this bug: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30Mzce0ZvRs.
The bug was on Ubuntu 10.04, I don't know, if that bug exists on Windows ( maybe hardware problem ). Before Ubuntu, there was Windows7 near one year on notebook, and i have't noticed this bug.

My Videocard is Nvidia GeForce 120M, Nvidia poprietary driver 270.41.19 ( from PPA with CUDA ). The bug exists on default poprietary drivers.
Open-source driver even doesn't work on this notebook

I've forgot to mention, bug appears randomly, but likely when I watching video fullscreen, or working in VirtualBox in photoshop.
Bug appears several times per hour
