Hey, I've been having some problems with Ubuntu recently, namely Flash and some other programs. I also have been getting dependency errors a bit. I was thinking it would be good to do a reinstall of Ubuntu.
How would I do this. I'm running Ubuntu of a external USB hard drive. There is a partition where all my Ubuntu stuff is located and another smaller NTFS partition, I use for music and videos, so I can listen to them on windows and ubuntu both.

I want to make sure none of my videos and music would get destroyed in this process also. So how do I go about doing a full reinstall?

Back them up to another external hard drive would be best.

you just install from cd like you normally would, but when you get to partitioning menu, select your old partition, and dont format it, your home folder will not even be touched!!! :D BUT MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT FORMAT IT OR YOUR STUFF WILL BE LOST!!
