ok, so i think i got the right info. just understanding it is the problem. I think this means that i have 2 seperate cards with 1g of ram on each? If im correct this seems pointless because i can upgrade my laptop to 4g of ram, 2g in each slot. So i guess i would just take both 1g cards out and add 2 new 2g cards?

oh and when searching for the best deal price wise do i have to enter my laptop model or can i enter the memory card type? if so what is it.
