unable to use amarok to control my ipod.

I tried following helpl from

http://www.simplehelp.net/2007/07/04/how-to-use-amarok-to-manage-your-ipod-in-ubuntu/

and decided to use amarok. as it is one of the better players. it does not show media devices and in my configure amarok tab.

I can play songs from my ipod however not able to get proper library view.

I can play from rythmbox however not able to view.

I am attaching snapshot of the both rythmbox and amarok.

can anybody help me out

Hi,

What I could suggest is checking out the official Ubuntu information on using an ipod with Ubuntu (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/PortableDevices/iPod) and not relaying on a blog post made more than 4 years ago ;)

Could not find anything it just said that amarok supports.

Do you know some other link I am going to try with Banshee in couple of days.

Under Ubuntu 11.04 my Banshee was even able to sync on a ipod Touch... MP3's in any case... other media (even ones bought from the itunes store) didn't want to sync...
