Installing AA?

Can anyone help my friend and i install Americas Army on his machine running ubuntu. We are linux noobs. We downloaded the 2.5 file but when we click it gedit opens and crashes.

What do we do?
Can someone walk us through the install process?

My best guess:

Go to terminal/console.
Go to directory where the ---.run file is (e.g. it may be ~/My\ Downloads/)

chmod +x ---.run
sh ---.run

yeah, like meng said, just cd to the directory, and sh the .run.

hehe, if you really are nubs, and don't understand this, here are the directions. be sure AA is on your desktop. the go to the terminal (applications/accesories/terminal). then type

cd /home/YOURUSERNAME/Desktop

then

sh armyops250linux.run

of course replacing "YOURUSERNAME" with, your username.
