Dapper is great. So are you using Dapper or Breezy?

How do i upgrade the OS into Dapper ,again?

I turn the breezy marks into Dapper right? in the source list thing.

i suggest turn it back again to breezy in the source list file. When dapper is ready, at update-manager (yes, we'll have a new version) a button saying "new version available" (or something like that) should appear. It will update your breezy to dapper smoothly.

If you want to upgrade to the beta version, just run: gksudo "update-manager -d".
With '-d' makes update-mananger to look for beta versions, but having the release date so close, maybe would be better to wait. There are some bugs that have to be ironed.

I'm seriously excited. I'm totally wiping my two current breezy machines and installing dapper. I've been using ubuntu for about 5 months, and I've taken a look at the new features, and they're great. :p

Im exited about dapper, im looking forward to update my breezy, but to be honest Im more exited about recent news of linux desktop standards and more support from 3rd party hardware manufacturers. Besides upgrading my desktop Im planning to install xubuntu dapper in june in a old laptop. Lets see what happen...

I switched my main machine over last night, but I had Dapper running on a couple of other machines for a couple of months.

I ADORE Dapper. I and all my friends have switched already. It's so beautiful.

I couldn't really say I was excited, exactly, but I'm incredibly curious.

I haven't messed with the betas because, well, they're betas. I want the real thing.

I bought a new 160G drive just for 6.06 and will do a total conversion of the Linux box for it -- new low-noise PS, new AGP, maybe a new monitor. I've been waiting for 6.06 in hopes it will address some of the shortcomings I experienced with 5.04. 5.10 was much better, but I didn't want to get wrapped up in it with a new release this close.

I think it's kind of funny how there are so many people using Dapper already, even though it's not out for like, a week.

I'm personally excited at how well Dapper's taking shape. It's sort of like a play- it's all sort of nebulous up until the last stretch, then the performance suddenly gets it's own character and it shapes up to be really awesome.

I've been using dapper since early April, and loved it the whole time. My friends, also being students, waited until their big projects were done before joining the mob, but they've all had zero problems as well.

I have VERY proprietary hardware (just look up the HP ZV6000 series or the HPZV6130US notebook...), and Dapper got it like a champ!

I am glad they have made the new way of upgrading, since the changing sources method is a pain.

Dap seems really good tho a few packages I really liked have been deemed too old and stoped working :(

But lets face it, its good enough for me to make a new avatar about it lol

I've been running it since January, for the specific purpose of making sure the bugs I run into won't be there for the final release...
I'm with the minority since I'm using the 64-bit release. So far so good.

I guess my point is, if you still hit a few snags, consider providing bug reports so it's gone in edgy...

Yes, Dapper was/is solid as a rock. So it didn't interfere with normal usage...
