Hi,
I have been using this search a lot, to follow up the threads I'm participating. When I do a search, I get:
http://static.flickr.com/60/153696093_f4081f4dcd.jpg
This way, I can not say if I'm the last poster or if someone has already posted after me. My suggestion, If you find it valid, is to add the post number to the search results. Something like this:
http://static.flickr.com/75/153696094_1bdfabd768.jpg
For me this would make sense, but I don't know if this is easy to do or not. I can live without it, but as it is now, I have to put a bit of more pressure to the server to check the thread manually.
Hope you understand what I mean. Thanks a lot for reading this.

Why don't you just subscribe to all threads you have posted in. This can be done under: user cp -> edit optioins -> Default Thread Subscription Mode.. Then you'll be notified (in user cp) when somone posts in the threads
You can always unsubscribe if you don't want to follow the thread anymore

I can do that. But thats not the point here. The point is to make the search better (I think).
Thanks for the tip, though.

Interesting idea i'll add it to the todo list of things to look at after dapper is released.

This maybe offtopic, but IMO "Default Thread Subscription" -mode should be the
default for all new users so it's easier to follow the threads you've posted on.
At least it wasn't when I registered to the forums.

You probably already know this, but when you click on the thread title that's inside of the box that previews what you wrote - it will take you directly to your post and not to the base of the thread, so that you should be able to see very quickly if someone replied to you.
That might be an option for you to use until we can see what we can do about your suggestion. :)

Thanks for you suggestion and I already do that, but the ideia is to alliviate your server a bit, since I do not have to load the thread page to know that. It is faster for the user and better for the server (i suppose). Thanks anyway.

I just bumped this thread because I still think the idea presented on post #1 could be useful. But I understand that maybe this is not easy to implement.
