Ive been running ubuntu for a couple weeks now. I have an Acer Aspire 5552-3691. I noticed that my laptop runs extremely hot. I figured it was my grafix card or my CPU but i opened the bottom while ive been running the laptop and come to find out my Wifi chip is boiling hot. Im not even using wifi for the internet. Im not sure whats the problem is. Help Plox?

Hi welcome to the forums.

I have a similar issue with my wifi card. Its normal. If you are not using the internet simple disable the card from the wifi settings while not in use. Sorry its going to run hot.

Just because you are not using the wifi card, it is always connected and when it is it generates heat.
