I'm a big fan of the first two movies, and I fully intend on attending the Friday night session of X3. All the same, I'm bracing myself for a let-down because of the critical reception so far :(

I didn't really like the first one (was pretty boring). I tried watching the second one twice and fell asleep both times about 15 minutes into it. I think one of the time I fell asleep twice during the movie, so I can't really say I'm gagging for it.

I'm a big fan of the comics and especially the Dark Phoenix saga. X1 and 2 are so-so I think. They could have been better. I don't have too high expectations for X3 but I think it'll be good! I have heard there's going to be a Wolverine movie made with the same actor, Jack Hughman or whatever. That's cool.

I loved Spider-man when it came out but I think spidey 2 was a let-down. I sure hope number 3 will be good. It would be sweet if they centered it on Octopus vs The Owl (was that the goon's name?) and Black Cat series if anyone remember. Enough of the Mary Jane romance drama and focus in on the super hero action! Especially the wall-climbing and net-swinging!! Spider-man is such a cool character.

:D

Edit: Not that I don't think Kirsten Dunst is a sweet and talented actress and that there is good chemistry between her and Tobey Maguire, I just think that they can make a romance/drama movie any time and I want a maximum dose of Spidey!

But yeah, X3, I'm looking forward to it! Watching X2 again this week to refresh my memory...

Less then 3 hours till the movie, the theater 2 blocks from my house sold out two theaters, I am glad I bought my tickets in advance.

My wife and I are going to leave at least a half hour early to get good seats, maybe 45 minutes.

I can't wait for this one! #1 was good, #2 was great, and from the previews I've seen, I don't think #3 will be too shabby.

Well, I've seen it (watched it last night) and I have to say that I was let down :(

X2 still reigns supreme out of the three movies!

I'm not going to give reasons as to why I felt let down as I don't want to spoil it for anybody, but I'd love to know what other people (especially fan boys/girls) thought of it! The Phoenix Saga was my favourite part of the cartoons, so I was fairly critical!

I have never read the X-MEN comics, so I might have a different perspective not necassarily a fan, just ever other movie out this year has sucked and there hasn't been much Sci-fi out.

If the sneak preview is tonight how did you see it lastnight?

I do have to say " The Promise " has been the best movie I have seen this year.

'Mmm Mystique?' My barometer is more attuned to Storm :P Actually if it wasn't for Halle Berry and Kelsay Grammar I'd probably just cut my losses on this one after what I've heard.

OK, not being a fan of the X-MEN comic books and having never read a X-MEN comic book in my life.

I'll give me review based on the fact I liked the first two movies very much.

I have to say this is by far one of the best movies I have ever seen! and this is by far the greatest X-MEN movie yet!...remember I have no blinders or expectancies having not read the x-men comic book series.

As a movie the acting is amazing, special effects out-of-this world the best yet in the movie industry...but the acting stands alone and is what makes it truly a great movie. For those like myself who no nothing of the x-men and just want to see a good movie you will love it. For those who have read the comic books of course you will be disappointed that is a no brainer. Much like I was disappointed with the Tolkein trilogy movies, having read and reread the books hundreds of times. Movies limit the imagination and can never compare.

I would even say this movie was better then "The Promise" the second best movie this year.

My wifes favorite character: Angel

my favorite character: The Phoenix/Jean Grey

this is one movie I will see 2 or 3 more times in the theater and because of the last movie I will buy the set when it comes out.

Now I can hardly wait for July for the second Pirates of the Caribean movie to come out!

i was reminded earlier that i cried at the end of xmen2 when jean gray died. when we saw an ad for it, mrs. fuscia remarked "did you see jean gray? she's alive."

i am also a fan of storm and remind everyone that mystique can look just like her and anyone else one might be curious to see.

Im right there with ya, but, as far as the movies vs. the comics, their really butchering the storylines. Dont get me wrong I can seperate the 2 but seeing all the differences sometimes drives me nuts. For instance Colossus had a much larger role in The Dark Phoenix Saga (Chris Claremont's best work IMHO.) than they are showing.

Its all cool though. Ill still be there this weekend. ;)

In my humble opinion, growing up reading all the X-men, Classic Xmen, and New Mutant comics, it is hard to watch what's been portrayed on the big screen as the squad that was soooooo hardcore and kick-but in the comics. I mean I realize kids are watching but let's face it even some of my younger siblings were disapointed with the lack of 'razor edge hardcore-ness' the bigscreen just didn't deliver.

For instance 'STORM' and 'Wolverine' were two of the most out cold characters to ever dawn the 'X' symbol. I'd love to see storm fry her opposition literally with lightning bolts in the comic books and lets face it, wolverine was notorius for macking shrapnel out of almost anything he came in contact with on a 'GOOD' day.

I'm going to the 5:30 pm showing today here in Detroit. I'm a die hard appreciator for marvel comics, all of them but especially the X-men.

I hope Stan Lee let's some of the producers from the 'ANIME' world get ahold of one of the X'sagas. I would be nice to see the comic transition directly to the screen and the characters get the true RAW power they're notorius for.

Waiting for it too. I didn't see num 1, but I liked number 2. Storm and Jean Gray are real hot... so is Rogue.. but Magneto and Wolverine were cool!!

I liked Spidey 2, but I agree about the romance bit...too much of it!
